guys,do bear a while for some abrupt standstill of blogging here cos val and i are pretty occupied with common tests.seriously,work hard for this common test alright? prove others than band isnt a cca that pull down our results.. i am sure u guys are a bunch of intelligent people. it's the discipline and hardwork that ur invest that are going to bring u good results! :D whatever u guys learn in band (eg. dont be complacent,discipline,motivated,fight till the end,etc),as u realised,can be applied to everything in ur life!
i really wish one day we'll become the best cca in WS. not result wise alone. but inclusive of attitude too (= work hard!! :D

Dearest Band Membersi hope everybody will take the BBQ as a lesson learnt and get over it. nevertheles, i know it's really really sad to have such a happy occasion ended up like that but oh well,life goes on.
the Sec 3s and Sec 2s memebers,esp the leaders. take it positively and bare this lesson in mind to prevent such things from happening again. the security nd discipline of the band ..
band practice will only officially resume in July 20. so meanwhile,take a good rest (= currently,focus on your common test! i do not wish to see any band members failing teribbly for their tests becus of band. that's not the right way alright. we work hard,play as hard! ;D
miss having band prac dearly. wahahahhaa. all the very best yeah people! continue to make wsband the greatest nd most fun cca in wsss!

With Pride You Strike-ed
Congrats in getting a silver award.
Even though this is not what everyone hope, wish and fight for,
It is after all an award you all won.
It shall be in our memory that on 12April 2008,
You, every single one of you whom made up WS BAND'08,
went to National Stadium with PRIDE.
Every Practice and every rehearsal you all did was for that scared 8minutes given to you.
From the Grandstand I could tell and felt e Pride in you.
I could feel e fighting spirit in you,
every step you marched, every note you blew, every formation you formed.
I hope this fighting is still in all of you even after this.
You are a BAND.
We will always be proud of you.
You did the school proud by getting a silver.
If you think it is a disgrace because the award is not a gold,
you are wrong.
You did a gold performance,
Some of what you did was something not others could or would do.
It was Because of you, our school was somehow united.
Among all the school present our school has e loudest and most cheer.
You have a school who is cheering and supporting you all.
You had e crowd dance to your music,
You dance to your mood in the tunnel,
You all cheer for yourself and other bands in the tunnel.
Thats the spirit of a band.
From what i see, you are the only band who possess such attributes.
The memories you all have in your mind now is e bitter part of band practice,
the sad ending we had.
But if you think hard and break down everything,
You will realise the hidden feeling in you that you love this band,
You want to make a better band out of this band.
You want to aim higher than gold with honours.

early in the morning,

Do not forget what you were scolded for even if it is for talking or laughing.
It still serve as a memory for you of a happy time.
Do you still remember the time you were scratching your nose because your eyelashes fell and landed on your nose and someone scold you for that?
Do you still remember the time when you forgot to go to the toilet to empty your bladder or rectum because you were late for band and it landed you in some embarrassments?
Do you remember the time someone is scolding you for something u did wrongly while you are laughing in your heart because someone is cursing and swearing with finger behind that someone?
10 20 Years down the road, no matter where you ended up.
A big boss, manager, CEO, someone who sweeps the road, housewife.
The memories in band still sticks with you and thinking or those events will definitely sets u smiling away.
You will laugh at yourself being so silly.
I hope this serve as a memory for you to remind that you were once part of WS BAND'08.
You were nervous thats why u made some mistakes you never made in school.
After all some of your are first time performing,
some first thing infront of such a big crowd.
So do not blame yourself for getting a Silver.
I believe all of you did your 100%.

Be more discipline and we can do it.
Without Discipline getting a gold is still not good enough for a military band.
You all did much better than the first 2 batch of band.

hey guys, good job yesterday! u guys did the entire west spring community proud! firstly, u guys are the first who made the principal cheer so loudly for u that he didnt act so cool! he blended in with the student and cheered his heart out for each and everyone of usecondly, u guys made west spring bond together, the alumnis went to the stadium early in the morning, reaching there at 5.15 just to get that place for u, they stayed there till 8 pm for u guys, everything were just for WSMB!
lastly, each and everyone of u have put in 120% of ur effort for this competition! i believe that the entire school is proud of u already! u guys did STRIKE WITH PRIDE! what u guys did yesterday from 5.30 to 5.45, will be remembered in everyone's heart, the memory will not fade, even years from now, u will still remember the atmosphere before stepping into the field, the relief after performing, and the anxiety of waiting for the results=D
everyone, i am really proud of each and everyone of u, in 2 years time, sec 1 and 2s will bring back the gold for us and sec 3s and 4s will be back like what i did, (not playing bball so often though) to help in the band! everyone will do their best in 2010 to get the gold medal home!
kudos to WEST SPRING MILITARY BAND! GO BAND GO!

Those band members parents who are going to attend the SYF but do not have the ticket (cos i dont have enough), pls dont worry.. arrange ur parents to go with the school bcos we'll at the grandstand,so it does not make much difference.it's retarded to have such things happening,but oh well,response is far too happening..
GREAT JOB @ NATIONAL STADIUM PEOPLE! however,remember NEVER to be complacent! this is just a small mock exam for us. wad matters the most is the still END OF YEAR! which is April 12! nevertheless,i believe u guys can do it =D
look back at how we were last time.now i can see members falling sick,etc but still coming back for band! we aren't the old west spring band anymore (= no matter what happens sat onwards, i want you guys to be proud of yourself,be proud of this band..
it's really not easy to have come so far together! we did it .. we had overcome problematic people and criticisms from many people..WITH PRIDE WE STRIKE!

HEY GUYS!today our performance at CCAB was GOOOD!
so lets continue this thing, and work even harder to touch our GOLD.
as long as we tell ourselves we can do it, then GOLD is ours! :D
continue to work harder, endure for this one more week and one more day.
and our hard work will be paid offf.

FRIDAY practiceattire : wear band pants and band tee to school ( half-u)
things to bring : headgear , tunic ( the band uni ) ,leather shoes,white gloves ( make sure they are white,not brown.) , gimmics cloth and PE PANTS .
take note : leave your class at 8.55 am and change to FULL BAND UNIFORM.fallin by 9.30 am SHARP ( with agogo bells,instruments tuned etc. ) recall all the gimmics we did today and make sure that no unneccessary mistakes will be made tmr,and for tmr,follow instructions given and show your best behaviour okkayy~
