Tomorrow band practice, fall in at ISH at 2.30PM!!! From what I understand, all of you will be released at 2.20pm. So quickly make your way to the ISH. After we fall in, I will let you all go and set up your instruments. And by 2.40pm I want all to be seated. Late-comers without a reason (that can convince me) will be dealt by seriously (and harshly). A word of advice will be have your lunch during recess and if you want, have a quick snack after school. AND!!! Bring all your technique books, everything! Section leaders, please take note the section on duty. If your section is on duty, please bring down the doctorbeat, speakers and the wires. Okay, Aihui here. Today won't really affect the seniors or juniors much, because it is just like any other band practice to you all. However, I can safely say that it is rather different for the exco leaders. I want all the exco to remember what Mr Lim said and what Syafiq and Kevin said. It is the turning point for the band. Band members! Let me make this clear to you all. Perhaps for the past three months or so, the leaders have been very, in fact too gentle, with you all. But it is going to change. Mark my words. Everyone is tired after a day at school, including the leaders. But we made an effort to smile, make the practice more enjoyable for you guys. But what do I see in return? People sediya still can turn around, fan yourself, laugh to yourself...-.-...I don't want to scold you all, because I trust that you can think as a 12, 13, 14, 15 year old. But apparently, it is not the case. When I say fall in at what time, I will no longer tolerate late-comers. If you want to test my patience, please do come late for practice on Wednesday and see what will happen to you. For Wednesday practice, in fact all other practices, I do not want to see dead people or zombie. I don't care whether you have a bad day in school or what. I want to see you putting in 100% into the practice. And bring all your technique books. Sec 1s if you do not have the technique books, ask from the librarian. You guys are no longer the baby of the band, have more initiative. If smiles from the leaders resulted in such atrocious behaviours and attitudes, perhaps leaders should be more serious and strict.

Tomorrow there will be two practices, first one is the morning sectionals and the afternoon band practices. For the morning sectionals, it is compulsory for all SLs, ASLs and Sec 1s. Please bring along your Basic Star paper. There is no need to change to PE or what, you can wear your uniform. Fall in at 7 am in the ISH. For the afternoon band practice, fall in at the ISH at 2.45pm. Sec 3 SLs please pass your file to a Sec 2 senior in your section. I want all Sec 2 leaders to oversee the set-up. Everything should be set up latest by 2.45pm. The Sec 3s will be joining at 3. For those section leaders whose files are with me, I will help to pass it to your Sec 2 seniors. A brief reminder to all section leaders, currently I only have colour guards, flute, saxophone and percussion monthly percentage. May I ask where are yours? And as for the tags, I only received from Colourguards and Horn. So I assume that the rest of the sections will be printing on their own. -Aihui.

Hey! I'm sorry for not posting yesterday.
Sec 1s, instructions had been given. You guys need to know the basic Star until Box 8 by Wednesday. So, I only want section leaders and assistant Section leaders to arrive early on Monday morning. Please cooperate. We will have morning sectionals at the ISH at 7 a.m. As on Friday, when I call all the seniors to come and help the Sec 1s it is quite noisy, I decided that only the SL and ASL will come.
A reminder: SL are to give me the tags and section percentage by today. Send to my email.

'Band'tionals tomorrow, fall in at 1.15pm in the ISH. There will be no specific attire (preferably PE). But if ladies want to come in uniform, please wear pants (common sense). Attendence is compulsory. Logistics team, please bring down the speakers, wires and doctor beat by 1.10pm.
There is no such question as "what time will it end?". We'll end when the Sec 1s can at least do until 8th box (in your instruction sheet, the follow leader drill).
After that, all exco will have our exco meeting in the ISH. Attendance is compulsory. Please bring your files and a reminder to calculate the monthly percentage for this month. The meeting may last about half an hour to 45 minutes. Also, to all section leaders, for the tags Mr Lim wants you all to do, please send to my hotmail (
yipaihuiangel_1996@hotmail.com) by saturday. I will help to standardise all the font and size.

Today, although the set up was slow and late, I at least see quite a number of you putting in effort :) Good! Continue, alright? Anyway, Like what I said during fall-out. There will be sectionals for the Sec 1s on Friday. I want all band members to come, including seniors. You guys are in charge of your Sec 1s. Adding on to what Mr Lim had mentioned previously. If you want to stay in your section, please make sure you earn your position there. So, you are not interested to make an effort, you can say bye to your current section.
*Extra job for the section leaders: Please make sure that when keeping the instrument, members clean their instruments. You are allowed to punish them when appropriate.

Tomorrow Band practice in Band polo for seniors and PE for Sec 1s. Fall in at 2.45 pm sharp in the ISH.
Flute and Horn Sections, please bring down the speakers, wires, doctor beat and the high chair before 2.45pm. You don't have to set up if you don't know how to but bring down the objects.
Trombone, Trumpet, Clarinet and Colour Guard Sections, please set up the study room (the two closest to the toilet). Arrange the chairs and everything. Ask the teacher-in-charge for the tap card. Bring down the keyboard as well.
I hope to see everyone trying their best tomorrow :)

Okay, hey this is Aihui. I know you all may be getting tired of seeing my post, I'll try to get the other leaders to post okay? :)
. I really wanted all of you to reflect on yourself, your attitude to Band. I know some of you think that you are not important in Band. Let me tell you, this is a BAND, not some individual show. Everyone is equally important. If the seniors can make an effort to come on time when we are released at 2.40 or the same time as you, why can't you all prepare the classrooms, speakers and everything? Some of you are still having the slacking attitude. I don't want to have to point you out in front of the Band. The few of you, please, buck up! It is already towards the end of March. So just think and reflect, I believe you all have the brains to think.
I want all section leaders to calculate this month's percentage. There'll be exco meeting on Friday. I want the percentage on Friday. I want all exco to come for the meeting, even if you are the librarian, QM, logistics leader or what-so-ever. Majors, please come and find me tomorrow :) Thank you! This also go out to those Sec 1s who helped to keep the chairs :)

Don't take this too hard or too lightly, after all practise makes perfect :)

Hi, Aihui here. Tomorrow have 'band'tionals. Two sets of instructions so please listen carefully.
Sec 1, please fall in in the ISH at 1pm sharp in PE attire.
We will be doing marching. Section leaders report at the same time as the sec 1 and remember to bring the attendence file.
Main band, fall in at 1.45 sharp also in PE attire, in the ISH.
We will be practising music
Main band will be split up and then will combine to see your progress.
Sec 1's schedule:
1pm to 1.15pm: Warm Up
1.15 to 1.30: Mark Time (in a circle)
1.30 to 1.35: Break
1.35 to 1.45: Forward March ( Touch and Roll)
1.45 to 2: Forward March (Normal)
*If there's a delay, you guys will be released late as well. So don't blame me :P
Main Band Schedule:
1.45 to 2: Set up instrument and stands
2 to 2.15: Warm up as a band (long tone, scale....)
2.15 to 2.40: Split up to practise music.

All acting section leaders are to bring a flat folder (any colour will do).
All Sec 1 are to bring their instrument if they brought home.
All Sec 2 to Sec 4 members, please memorise the Basic Star steps as from tomorrow practice onwards, you are not allowed to refer to the paper.
Flute and Horn Section are in charge of bringing down the speaker, doctor beat and High Chair.
Clarinet Section, please set up the harmonic director (keyboard) and classroom at the second level.
To see if the seniors are refering to this blog, all members are to bring a packet of tissue paper (brand new) Punishments for those who did not bring. So, to keep this game rolling, please for those who have seen this, do not remind your seniors or friends :D Hahahaha!
