With Pride We Strike!
Hello fellow bandmates,Firstly, I want to welcome the new sec1s into WSMB.
So many talented and cute ( yes, you all know who I'm talking about) secondary1 band members this year.
This batch of secondary1s will be with us for the 2010 SYF,
So I hope all of you will persevere and we'll achieve what we aim for in 2010! :D :D :D
Next, I want to wish the secondary 4s all the best for the upcoming O level examinations.
Study really really really hard,
And we'll see all the band members' names on the powerpoint slides as top students ! :D
Lastly, I want to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year!
For the non-chinese, happy holidays!
Hope that all of you will excel in studies, be in the pink of health.
And recieve manymany redpackets!
Remember to complete all your homework in this short holiday.
I know all of us have a lot of homework.
Personally I really want to protest,
But oh well, we just have to live with it.
So yes, no excuse to submit work late.

Hello band. there's a rehearseal for Chinese New Year performance tmr. I expect all those performing to attend as it is important.
Here are the list of names that are performing:

Carinet: Geraldine, Beatrice Tan, Wei ting, Susanna, Putri
Horn: Azhar, Kang Xun, Rashiqah
Saxophone: Fangwei, Brenda, Kevin, Jolene Low,Michelle
Trumpet: Wai Ying, Jia Wei, Ah Mui, Charlene
Baritone: Nizam, Peggy, Shafiq, Syuhaidah
Tuba: Kok Foo, Dionysus, Brendan
Trombone: Ros, Jason, Tanisa, Beryl
Im not so sure about percussionist. Therefore, all percussionist, pls ask your sl, jolynn to ask if you are performing not.

Fall in: parade square, 2.30PM SHARP

Those sec4s performing pls come straight after your lesson ends. eat alot during your 2nd recess. However those sec2 &3 that come late without valid reason will be punish.it's important that tmr we put up a good attitude. it is so that the other CCA & the teachers will look at us & see how discipline we are. i hope the band will co-operate tmr and dont give your SLs, geraldine,valerie, faith & me a hard time tmr.

9th January 2009 - CCA ORIENTATION 2009bring your FULL BAND UNIFORM.inclusive of band pants ,tunic ,black socks, LEATHER shoes.
make sure all of you IRON your uniform.and wear WHITE shirt inside your full band u.
For ladies,tie 'scorpion ' on your hair with the purple ribbon.
leave your classroom at 9.50am.go change to full uniform ,set up instruments and FALLIN with instruments at 10.20am sharp. do not be late. attendance is compulsary.
Tomorrow is our only change to recruit band members,so make full use of it. sec4s,its your last sec 1 orientation,so do your best and recruit as many members as possible. target, 10 members per section (:
Remember not to force them,lie to them and dont ever badmouth other cca.Be honest and truthful when you apporach them.remember what we promised of working hard during the last band prac? make sure you mean it,and put on your best behaviour and discipline tomorrow (:

Happy New Year, everyone ! :DI guess Valerie covered a lot in the previous post already,
So I'm not sure what else to say, lol.
It's a brand new year, and we really hope that all of you can change your attitude towards band.
Please enjoy coming for band practices, not just for the sake of coming.
Since you can't quit band, why not enjoy every practice,
rather than hate band, skip practices and get yourself in trouble.
All of should learn to be proud of our CCA,
since the band has made many achievements.
People will eventually join us when they see that we love our CCA so much.
The CCA recruitment is this coming Friday on the 9th of January.
Our band practice is on the 7th of January.
Please come for the practice as it is very important.
It's the last time we can practice for the CCA recruitment.
We must do our best to impress the secondary 1s and persuade them to join the band.
We're getting closer to the major events each day,
so please do continue to work hard.
Not just in band, but of course in studies too.
It's a new year, so let's all set our own targets and work towards it.
It's time to improve ourselves and change our bad habits.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!its 2009 already,one year have passed,and i hope all of you have learnt much,after the long journey that all of us went through together.Mistakes that have been made in the past,its time to correct them.
This year is a very important year for all of us,as its is time to build up our band!! recruitment will start very soon. and for sec 4s,time to stop playing and start preparing for your O levels.For the rest of you, study hard too,as it will be your turn soon for O levels xD
We came this far,actually very far,from a band that is really bad (i know all of you know how bad it was ) till now.we performed for all sorts of people,mostly big-shots,and receive many compliments.oh,we even got the best cca award.
Seriously, are we really that fantastic and superb to the extent that we can be complacent and arrogant about it and just let our standards drop just like that? after all the hard work and effort we put in the whole of last year? just look at the previous band prac.how many of you are late.How many of you asked " can I dont come band?can i quit?" Just the number of people being late shows how far our band had went downhill. If we still have that being lazy,being late and come-band-for-the-sake-of-coming attitude,as a matter of fact,we are never going to learn.we will never break the silver curse.we will be back to square one.back to the band that nobody bothers ,looked down by others,with 90% latecomers.and all our effort for the whole of last year will be wasted.do you want to see it happen?
Its time to change our attitude,although SYF 2010 is still a long way to go,the preparation starts now.during practice,learn as much as you can.if there is any homework,whether is writing out rhytyms or whatsoever,make sure you do it.Remember that all of us are in this together.
Anyway,Happy New Year to all, may all your dreams and wishes come true :)
