With Pride We Strike!
Band has been tough on everyone this few weeks as competition is nearing and everyone is also very stressed with common test.
I would like to ask all of you this question.
Have all of you put in 100% effort in this preparation for band competition? You might attend practices faithfully from the start of the preparation till now but it's only your body and not your soul there at the band practice.
What i mean is that all of you are doing for the sake of doing it as it is not from the bottom of your heart.
All of you are just careless most of the time.
Most of the time during sectional, majority of you will only learn the songs that you have learned and not putting in effort to learn and memorise the new songs.
If everyone do their part in memorising all their parts and not depend on the seniors, the band will sound even bigger and better.
Why not all of you just put in the extra effort for the last lap towards the competition so that you will achieve what you desire?
All of us have come a long way to this stage.
Why not get the gold medal that you deserve and not let people think that WSMB got a gold just because of luck?
Let the whole Singapore band scene know that WSSS means business when it comes to marching band sh0ws.
Why must WSMB always be the shadow of good bands and not be the one people think about when they think of marching bands?
So what if other bands have rich history of marching band?
It's not the history that counts, it's the team effort that counts and how good you are.
Competition is about making the less mistakes during the show.
There is a phrase that goes "performance only lasts 3 min but preperation of the competition or show is 1 year."
Don't all of you as band members think it's a pity that we've come this far but we cannot achieve our gold?
Remember, the band this year has a lot of resources for competition.
This show can get you a gold medal, only if you put in the extra effort.
I really hope this band can put away all differences among you and point the arrow out towards competition and getting the gold medal.
i should stop here and most of you should know what i mean by putting away all the differences. I know WSMB can achieve a greater height.
Let's gear up towards the competition.

With Pride We Strike!
Hey members.
It's not too late to say what I have to say. So here goes.
I know I wasn't active in band during the holidays. I've some observations tht I hv to point out.
Some are really trying hard to improve; but to the minority who aren't trying, please do. And start to change your mindset too. No more spoon-feeding from your SLs/ASLs/Majors or even the instructors. I believe everyone is big enough too be independent. I mean all.
I've heard of some rumours that some people are asking people to join band to replace some members. I don't want to say names but hey, we are a FAMILY. We should not let our race, language or religion to break our members apart. Don't let small disputes/misunderstandings affect your relationship with that person in band.
You guys have been making good progresses and I'm really proud of it. There's still LOTS of improvement to be made though. If all of us work hard as one through this journey, we won't be far from getting that GOLD. Not to demoralise you but Gold w/honors is too far to think about. =D
So yeah, that should be about it I guess. Try to listen and open up to your leaders more members. We're here to help and guide you. It's not nice to get scolded by Mr. Lim everytime we make mistakes. I hopw you guys relly take at least half an hour each day of your short holiday to revise your steps/movements/gimmicks and remember your scores! If you're unsure, go to your HP and dial your SLs number! Make sure on Thurs we can prove to Mr. Lim that we do not have short-term memory loss (STM).
Will update my views again if I hv anymore to say. Lols.

I don't wish to see band members @ detention area , :D .
Ok ! , Study hard ok .
& at the same time , memorise your scores & steps :D .
