Fall in : 2.45PM sharp
Remember the random action and balloon (refer to previous post)
The balloon can be a normal balloon,
doesn't have to be the long one already.
Please inform your SLs that you want it and you have to buy from them,
won't be that expensive, perhaps just a few cents.

Band Practice on 1st April 2009, Wednesday Attire : PE attire
Fall in : 2.45PM sharp
Please note that you have to bring a balloon on Wednesday.
Not the normal round kind, but the long kind for balloon sculpting.
You all should know which kind I'm referring to.
I don't expect all of you to buy one packet each since you all will only need one.
Your SLs will be buying the balloons in a packet.
But you will have to inform him/her to help you bring on Wednesday,
If not, no balloons for you and maybe you'll get scolded ? :p
Next, on Wednesday, all of you will have shake Putri's hand and say "Thank You".
It's like some kind of random action you'll have to do just so we know that you read the band blog :D
Similarly, we'll mark attendance to see who actually brought the random item and did the random action :D

Hello my dearest band member :]]]It's been quite long since i post the band blog. my comp was attacked with deadly virus etc. :/ so yeah, our other dearest BM, Geraldine updated and post the band blog so it's ALIVE;DD hahax.and you guys make it more alive by tagging the blog! im impressed with it. good jobs ppl;D And ytd after band prac, i didnt had the time to explain to you guys about why we make you shout your timing etc. as the NPCC had to use the space. so yeah, those who are here, reading these are the reasons. well, im sure the sec2 and 3 sure know why i asked you guys to shout your timings loud and clear.sec1s the reason is it's to show the sch that our band is disciplined and is determine to win the gold medal next year. it's so that the school believes in us and know we can do it;D it is also that all of you can march together as A band and not everybody has their OWN timings. if lyk that we're no longer called A band but we'll be called THE bandS. it's better to start preparing for SYF now than wait for next year right?
so,yeah next time for band prac when we march up to keep instruments,marching down after keeping instruments and even when we fall in or out, i want each and every band member to shout your timings. dont keep your voice inside of you.let it out by shouting or saying out your timings alright;D?
Oh, did you guys know that ltr in June it'll be the fun and interesting month?we'll be combining with another 2 bands which is Bukit Panjang Government High and Springfield Military Band. it'll be awesome and all the 3 bands will be together.And we're the hosts,so yeah im sure all of you are eager about it cause im really eager about it. hahax;DD

Which means sec1s have to come on Wednesdays and Fridays like the rest of us :D
Yea, so please remember to be punctual and bring your water bottles :D

Please note that all band members have to bring the following items for the next band practice :
- Tissue Paper
- 2B pencil
The other end of the 2B pencil must be like this
As in, it's all plastic and all.
Please do not bring pencils with eraser tips or lead tips, like this
or
Cause, I don't think you all will want to put the lead or eraser into your mouth :x
We'll be using these items for an exercise so please remember to bring.
This is also to check if you people read the band blog!
The SLs will NOT be reminding you to bring these random items in the SMS.
Yea, so please remember to bring them for the next band practice! :D

--- extract from tiangyun's blog ---band practice was held at the field and bball court for the first half of the practice. & that is like where we belong kinda thing. and yea, the band competition feeling was back as they did morning PT and whatsnot. the tension is gonna begin soon ;D
trains of thoughts came to my mine as i watched them and how the system runs. for a few moment or so, i nearly couldnt adapt to the entire system because it was too different from how cca run in jc (:
they did footdrills (it's like the best thing on earth,i swearrrr). well, that is one of the 2 areas which i am confident in guiding =/ so right, wsband has a long way to go for 2010 competition. i am sure the morale will be back very soon (: i have 100% confidence and faith in the leaders,members and the band in achieving a whole new and different height! :DDD
i like to see members who are compassionate in helping the band, who takes their initiative in trying to improve the band. it touches me even more when members are willing to put in their effort,energy and concentration during band practices to march and to get their notes right. they're exhausted, tired, burnt, pressurized and whatsnot. but al they are going to have in mind is .. to win that bloody medal back for the band history.
where else can i find such spirit? (no where?)

ok, people of wsband! please do buck up and get your basics right! do your previous band major -the great "old" tiangyun- proud! do not slacken when you are practicing or drilling! just put in your very best during all the training session and your efforts will pay off!!!

With Pride We Strike!
Hello band members,I hope all of you enjoyed the Welcome Party yesterday :D
I know some of the games may be uh, boring?
But we really tried our best to make you all happy and feel like a part of WSMB.
After this party, I hope all of you will be bonded, not just in sections, but also in the band.
The leaders are trying their best to improve the band,
but we also need all of you to cooperate in order for us to achieve our target in 2010.
We'll be starting the preparation for SYF really soon.
It's going to be veryyyyyy tiring and we'll all turn reallyyyyy tan.
But do remember that we're tired together as a band,
and I think the tan skin colour is the trademark of band! :D
Trust me, the feeling of going for this competition together as a band is great,
So the hardwork will all be worth it, :D
I really hope all of you will persevere on in band,
So we can achive our gold medal in 2010 (:

Hello Band mates;DIt's the sch hols again.hope you guys will enjoy your hols;D do take note of the band pracs dates and attend the prac unless you've a valid reason.

So yeah, i expect the attendance to be around 90 okay? it's already march. a few more months to the SYF.I know it's next year but there's no harm preparing now right? unless you guys dont want the gold medal.if you really want the gold medal,then let's together work hard for it!I know that the SLs and ASLs want to get the gold medal. Trust me, you'll feel good after the competition.The school will look up to you.
Therefore, firstly, sec1s, im sure that friday Mrlim told you that some of you are not behaving. As band members, in order to move forward,you have to be DISCIPLINE.Then only you can do better;D For instance, on friday when I asked you to fall in, some of you can still giggle, talk and even don't care about it. You only moved when I raised my voice. I don't think you guys like it right? I, myself and Geraldine hate to do that but we're forced to because you guys don't listen. So, if you cooperate,we will not scold you. Also, I got complains frm the SLs about some sec1s being rude. I hope you guys'll change your attitude. It's really hard if the band dont cooperate. If we want the gold medal, we as a BAND have to work together. It's like going for war. When we go for war, we go together as a group right, not alone? So, let's change for the better okay? I know that you guys can do it, so I expect to see changes and the SLs to tell me that the sec1s are better.
Lastly I hope you guys wont feel bad, desolate when me and Geraldine scolds you okay? we scold you for a reason not for fun.so yeah, let's together work together for SYF. I know WSMB can do it! WITH PRIDE WE STRIKE! do take care of youselves and the SLs will sms you tmr for mon band prac. Continue striving for the best okay? and Happy Holiday!

Band Practice On 6th March 2009, Friday Attire : Band Tee
Fall In : 1.45PM SHARP
The practice is for sec2-3s, so I'm expecting at least 55 members to show up.
Secondary1 band members can come for the practice too if you want to learn more and improve faster.
Since all of you will have to start coming for both practices next week, might as well get used to it now! :D
I expect all of you to be punctual for the practice too,
cause it's not the time to slack anymore.
You think we have a lot of time left?
Not at all if all of you continue to keep up with this come-for-the-sake-of-it attitude.
I seriously hope everyone can enjoy band practices.
I don't want to hear anyone saying,"Got band today, siannnn" or whatever.
We are happy if we see band members going for band practices happily and being dismissed happily.
We are trying to make band practices as enjoyable for all of you,
but firstly, all of you have to practice self-control.
Know when to talk and have fun, know when to be serious and concentrate.
We don't enjoy scolding and shouting at all of you too.
We're A band, and we really try to treat all members as nice as we can, like how we treat our own siblings.
But sometimes lectures are unavoidable if all of you don't practise self-control.
If someone near you is talking, remind him/her to lower down their volume, quietly of course.
See, it goes like this,
and I believe all of you know it.
Disciplined = scold less
Scold less = members happy
Members happy = leaders happy
But on the other hand,
Chaotic = scold A LOT
Scold a lot = leaders angry, members angry
Members angry = members unhappy
Members unhappy = Leaders unhappy
So members, please coorperate with us !
I know common tests are over, and you've gotten some of the results back.
Don't be discouraged if you did badly, instead, set your own target and work hard towards it!
I hope everyone can have a good night's sleep,
and I'm looking forward to see happy and disciplined band members tomorrow.

Well, wed band prac is back s usual.which means the prac is no longer 1hr.so do tell your mommy and daddy that band prac is as usual starting frm this week wed,4th march;D i'll inform the SLs tmr about wed prac. so SLs, pls inform your members. thanks for all your hard effort all this while sms-ing/ calling your members to inform them;DDD
